SGIS Construction: Where to Park

Construction of the new School of Global and International Studies is now underway at the site of the former Wells Library Parking Lot.

Disabled parking remains available onsite.

Parking for other employee permit holders has been expanded in surrounding lots and garages. The map below indicates parking options for those with A and C permits.

The surface lot behind the IU Art Museum can be converted to exclusively visitor, disabled, and service access to create more parking for visitors in the immediate area.

Campus Bus and Bloomington Transit continue to be options for those travelling to the 10th and Jordan area. They offer frequent service at no cost to faculty and staff. The trip time from the DeVault Center to the Library is approximately 10 minutes. Their routes and schedules are posted at www.iubus.indiana.edu.

Another option for those at the Library late at night is Safety Escort. The service provides transportation at no cost to students and staff until 1:45 a.m. Sunday thru Thursday and until 11:45 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

We will continue to evaluate and amend this plan to ensure that parking needs are met.
